Company Overview

What is Kardiel Furniture About?

Furniture from Kardiel fits into most spaces with style and simplicity, creating a stylish, low-profile look.

They offer such a wide range of styles that you can easily style your home as well as your office from their collections. Both will exude quality and an understated, chic vibe.

Anyone who appreciates its mid-century modern and minimalist look will love Kardiel’s furniture. Despite not being as cheap as self-assembly Scandinavian furniture, the pieces are still affordable while retaining a look and feel of quality and durability.

Who Owns Kardiel Furniture?

Kardiel was founded in 2011 by Brando Mataya, John Sanders, Jason Kilmer, and Debbie Kilmer who share a passion for good design. This family-run company manufactures upholstery and wooden furniture which reflects a mid-century style.

Kardiel styles are influenced by the designs of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. These designs are combined with contemporary modern and Scandinavian styles to create original pieces. Kardiel also remanufactures mid-century furniture.

Where is the Furniture Made?

The company collaborates with talented designers who help them to create furniture that is purposeful and has a sense of history. Their factories are small-scale and based in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

Kardiel has its headquarters in Lacey, Washington, but they source its materials from around the world. The wood for a lot of their furniture comes from Australia, although they also use many American hardwoods, and much of their leather comes from Milan, Italy.

Is Kardiel Furniture Comfortable?

Although Kardiel has a strong focus on quality furniture, they also want to make their furniture comfortable and affordable. When they recreate original mid-century designs, they also try as much as possible to use similar materials that were used in the original piece.

Every piece of furniture that Kardiel makes begins with a digital rendering, where they can make any necessary changes and adjustments. Once they are happy with the digital rendering, they go on to make a physical sample so that the piece can be tested.

Having a physical example of a design allows Kardiel to test it for correct proportions and to make sure that the piece is comfortable to use.

Is Kardiel Worth It?

There are a lot of furniture and home accessory providers out there, both online and with real brick-and-mortar stores. So what does Kardiel bring to the market that others do not?

Firstly, the furniture has a certain style that is both popular and timeless. The mid-century look is one that fits well into most spaces with its organic shapes and clean lines. But it also mixes well with contemporary, modern furniture.

Of course, other furniture manufacturers also make mid-century-styled pieces, but Kardiel has been able to keep their prices affordable for the majority of their customers. They can do this while simultaneously ensuring that the quality of their furniture remains high.

From the reviews of the company and its furniture, the majority of customers are happy with the quality of the products, the service they receive, and the prices that they pay. Of course, there will always be those who have bad experiences, but they seem to be in the minority.

Where Can You Buy Kardiel Furniture?

You have lots of options if you want to purchase some of Kardiel’s furniture. You can choose from their own website or third-party retailers such as Amazon, Houzz, Wayfair, Walmart, or Real Simple.

If you wish to return something, you have 15 days to do so but will need to pay the shipping costs. After 15 days, you will also need to pay an additional restocking fee.

Once you have placed your order, as long as the item is in stock, the company guarantees delivery within 7 to 10 business days within the continental United States. Deliveries to outlying states such as Alaska and Hawaii can take longer, perhaps 12 to 18 business days.
